Eisenmann’s F10 M5 exhaust system allows M5 owners to opt for a unique exhaust tip choice- the famous Eisenmann oval tip. These hand fabricated tips were one of many tip styles to bring attention to the brand 20 years ago, and have enjoyed enormous popularity throughout the years. The E60 M5′s rear valence benefitted from the aggressive look of the wide quad oval tips and owners of the F10 M5 can now opt for the same.
The oval tip exhaust system includes four perfectly positioned 120x77mm oval tips, constructed by hand and designed to completely fill the M5′s rear valence.
IND provides a specially made rear diffuser designed to accomodate the oval tips. The diffuser is created from an original BMW diffuser for a perfect fit in the rear bumper, and specially trimmed to allow a perfect fit of the oval tips. The diffuser is reasonably priced at $400 and available in gloss black or painted to match the car’s paint color.
Most fans of Eisenmann exhaust systems know that Rolf Eisenmann does not build performance exhausts to make a profit for his company. As a supplier to two of Germany’s greats- Porsche and AMG, Eisenmann’s performance exhaust business is dwarfed by their OE manufacturing contracts. Therefore, Eisenmann’s performance exhaust systems are a true labor of love, a chance for Rolf Eisenmann to build parts that exude the essence of passion and fun.
Exhausts like the Porsche Speedster system seen here are what Eisenmann’s staff live for. This exhaust was built for a client who loves the performance and personality of his Speedster, but knew that the sound of the car didn’t match it’s incredible persona. Eisenmann is the original manufacturer of the Speedster exhaust, but restrictive sound regulations kept the masters of tone in Eisenmann’s engineering department from bringing the car to life. This, then, was the perfect opportunity to give the car the personality it deserves.
Eisenmann’s engineers redesigned the internals of the Speedster exhaust system to improve the tone and personality of the car, while adding in cabin valve control to allow the driver to adjust the car’s level of civility on the fly. All of us at IND eagerly await the exhaust’s arrival at our clients installation facility. It is special projects like these that make working with Eisenmann so exciting!

Companies are like people. As the years advance a business can grow, change, and evolve to respond to changing markets. Eisenmann’s approach has been rather different in this respect. Eisenmann has no side business, no secondary interests, and no distractions. For the past 27 years Eisenmann has maintained a singular focus based on hand crafting the finest possible exhaust systems, and for the past 27 years Eisenmann has maintained their love for BMW automobiles.
Similarly, BMW’s M5 has been an expression of the same singular focus- the M5 has always been the best sports sedan in the world.
Today we are proud to introduce Eisenmann’s F10 M5 exhaust system.
The F10 M5 may be the best M5 yet, and the engineers at Eisenmann knew the exhaust system had to be equally impressive. Eisenmann worked with IND extensively to develop their new F10 exhaust system specifically for the North American market. The hand built construction of the Eisenmann exhaust allows for versatility in manufacturing and gives us a vast list of possibilities and options.
Each Eisenmann exhaust system for the F10 M5 will be available in a Sport sound level for those who demand a discreet personality from their super sedan, and a Race sound level for a more extroverted driving experience. Three tip options are available- four 90mm round tips, four 102mm round tips, or four 120x77mm oval tips. Best of all the new M5 system can be built as a 100% 304 stainless steel exhaust system, or as a hybrid of stainless steel and the amazing material Inconel.
IND will present the new F10 system to the public on May 19th at the BimmerFest Los Angeles show, but we will continue to update this thread and will release pricing information shortly.

To be the best in any field it is best to surround yourself with the best people. If all of us at IND are like-minded people, then all of our dealers should be like-minded people too. This is why we decided to re-evaluate our dealer list for 2012, and celebrate the opportunities we have in working with the best dealers of Eisenmann exhaust systems in the United States and Canada.
In our second installment of the Eisenmann dealer spotlight, we are proud to turn our attention to a staple of the BMW tuning industry- European Auto Source.
European Auto Source has offered Los Angeles area clients excellent service and an extensive knowledge base for years and is a true household name in the LA area. EAS has transformed from a shop that offers service and parts retail sales to a company that is a key technology partner for VF Engineering, as well as one of IND’s strongest Eisenmann distributors on the west coast. We hope to have many more great years of partnership with EAS!
Today we are proud to announce that Eisenmann’s first F12 650i exhaust system has arrived in the US after months of testing in Europe.
As BMW enters another golden age of turbocharging technology, we are watching a rapid “trickle down” effect take place. BMW M has once again taken on the task of modifying BMW’s amazing new series of turbo engines to create masterpieces designed to thrill the senses.
Fortunately for owners of the 650i the N63 engine found in the 650i is among one of the engines to enjoy relation to an engine that has been modified by BMW M. The S63 and S63tu found in the X5M, X6M, and the F10 M5 has strong roots in the N63 and is an engine that excites the driver with its feel and power.
Although the engine found in the 650 has an incredible 400 horsepower and the great linear feel that a twin turbo V8 can provide, it lacks the amazing vocal note we have come to expect from BMW’s performance cars. Eisenmann has stepped in to give the 650i the amazing exhaust note it deserves by hand crafting an exhaust system from 304 stainless steel. Eisenmann’s engineers were committed to creating a signature Eisenmann sound and have specifically arranged the internal baffling of their canisters to give the 650i a pronounced roar when the car is driven quickly.
Eisenmann’s fabricators create each F12 650 system entirely by hand from start to finish for an old-world style of craftsmanship that cannot be replicated. Each 650 system is available in a sport or race sound level with four 90mm exhaust tips that give the rear of the car an appearance to match the amazing sound. The Sport system will maintain the decibel output of the factory system while adding a pronounced muscular note to the exhaust tone, and the Race system will give the 650 the roar of a true sports car at all RPMs.

Everyone has New Year’s resolutions and IND is no different. Although IND consists of many people, we all work toward a common goal, so when it comes to New Year’s resolutions we think as one. In 2012, one of IND’s New Year’s resolutions was to surround ourselves with only the best people. If all of us at IND are like-minded people, then all of our dealers should be like-minded people too. This is why we decided to re-evaluate our dealer list in 2012, and celebrate the opportunities we have in working with the best dealers of Eisenmann exhaust systems in the United States and Canada.
Each month, we will feature one of our partner shops on the Eisenmann blog, and this month I am proud to announce that we kick off this tradition with a shop that has never failed to impress us- Ai Design.
Ai Design is a company of craftsmen focused on producing highly personalized vehicles and their attention to detail and precision has kept Ai unique for many years. Ai’s meticulous shop, their high end clientele, and their impressive work ethic make them a great partner for IND!
The F10 is quickly becoming one of the more popular BMW chassis for tuners. As a result of this increased popularity, ourselves as well as Eisenmann Germany put our heads together to make the install and purchase of the exhaust easier for the client. With the purchase of a 4 x 90mm tip F10 535i system all Eisenmann dealers will now be able to provide the customer with the OEM 550 M-sport rear diffuser. This rear diffuser is compatible with the quad tip system and is a bolt on solution for all 5 series customers with the M-sport bumper package. The diffuser will drastically reduce install time and also allow for the preservation of their single tip diffuser. Please contact a Eisenmann North America representative for more information.
The E92 M3 is a car that has sparked a great deal of passion among car enthusiasts all over the world since the day spy shots of BMW’s secret test cars started appearing online. The M3 has always been BMW’s most focused M car, and fans of the M bloodline waited for the E92 M3’s release with buzzing anticipation. As a strong supporter of BMW’s M program, Eisenmann GmbH sensed the community’s excitement and knew they had to answer with an exhaust system that could give the amazing S65 V8 the sound that it deserved.
Eisenmann created their exhaust system for the E92 M3 in 2008, almost immediately after the car’s arrival in the United States, and the rest is history.
Today, IND is proud to announce that Eisenmann’s E92 M3 system has become their best selling system of all time, surpassing the E60 M5’s already impressive volume and allowing over 7,000 E9x M3 owners to achieve a new level of enjoyment with their M cars.
IND and Eisenmann know that E9x M3 fans will enjoy their exhausts for years to come, and thank all of you for your support!

BMW’s F10 M5 is an absolute marvel of modern technology and an absolute pinnacle of modern machinery. The engine is optimized with BMW’s excellent VANOS system, individual valve control with Valvetronic technology, two turbo chargers, water cooled engine control computers, and blistering performance. However, some say a certain soul is lost as BMW M advances further toward the future. The raw sound and power of BMW’s earlier S38, S62, and S85 engines may be lost in the new S63tu- something even BMW admits to, and compensates for by adding an in-cabin sound generator to capture some of the engine’s lost personality.
Eisenmann’s engineers have had a passion for the soul and sound of M cars for over 20 years, and have now embarked on a quest to recover the S63tu’s lost soul. Eisenmann will continue to take their F10 M5 through their extensive testing and R&D program at their Stuttgart development center. Eisenmann will have invested over one half of a full year into development of the F10 M5 system, and will stop at nothing to bring the car’s true passion forth out of it’s quad exhaust tips.
Stay tuned for more updates!
Launched in 1976 as the successor to the infamous E9 chassis, the BMW 6 series is among the most voluptuously styled European automobiles. Originally based on the 5 series, it is not secret as to where the 6 series inherits its large features. With oversize doors, sleek profile, and powertrain options the BMW 6 series to this day remains top of it’s class. After a decade in hiding the BMW 6 series was reinstated with the release of the E63/E64 chassis. BMW continues the tradition of their 6 series gran tourer with the F12/F13 chassis.
Eisenmann GmbH now offers a system for the F12/F13 chassis. Featuring quad 90mm stainless tips the exhaust is available in both sport or race sound levels. Although the 650 is the first application to be released by Eisenmann, expect Eisenmann to address the other powertrain options as the chassis ages.

Founded in 1913, the company formerly known as Rapp Motoren Werke is most commonly recognized by its full line of vehicles possessing a beautiful harmony of luxury, performance, and style. With roots in aviation, BMW to this day maintains a focus on excellence as well as innovation. Following the second great war BWM produced vehicles that simply pushed convention to the limits. From the elegance of the 500 series to the bizarre lines of the Isetta, the Munich based automotive manufacturer always kept it’s good foot on the forefront of design and implementation of future technologies. Although admirable, these attributes did not always translate to the bottom line. As the sixties approached BMW was on the verge of extinction. The only thing keeping the company afloat was the all too familiar “too big to fail”
With bankruptcy just around the corner BMW had to release a vehicle that not only stayed true to their passion for innovation, but also generated more commercial success than the previous generation of vehicles. The answer, the Neue Klasse. Focused on the middle class the philosophy behind the Neue Klasse was performance packaged in minimalist styling. From first glance this approach did not mesh well next to the exotic lines of the 60′s automobile. With perseverance and a wide range of power trains the Neue Klasse exponentially became a force to be reckoned with. To this day the Neue Klasse is known as the car that saved BMW.
Eisenmann stays true to their deep rooted passion for German automobiles with their addition of the Neue Klasse BMW to the classic line.
Systems will be available in either center exit as well as original exit.
Eisenmann Germany have always done extensive research and development on each model that comes into their facility with the intention of hand building a quality Eisenmann System that the industry have come to respect. They also understand vehicles in Europe and in the North America have different emissions criteria for some models and have to adapt to it.
For that reason, the past Eisenmann system for the 135i in 4x76mm quad configuration had to be redesigned to fit the North American 135i model. After more research, Eisenmann concluded that there is a fuel evaporator canister on the North American 135i that is not on the European model. That canister would hit the top portion of the right side outlet piping causing minor rubbing on the 135i here in North America.
With the revised version of the Eisenmann 135i 4x76mm quad exhaust we are now proudly able to offer it in North America. Please contact your Eisenmann representative for further information.
As Eisenmann GmbH approaches the end of the research and development stage of any exhaust system, final tests are conducted to ensure perfect fitment and function of the new design.
Eisenmann technicians dyno test the prototype exhaust system to ensure that the flow improvement predicted in their CAD modeling shows itself in the real world, and use acoustic testing and waveform analysis to check the sound output of the exhaust system.
Eisenmann’s testing and development equipment allows the engineers to simulate exhaust pulses through test mufflers before a real car is ever run on their dyno, but nothing is as accurate as real world testing. For this, Eisenmann’s microphones allow them to do acoustic sampling and advanced wave form analysis to not only detect but also tune out unwanted sound frequencies.
Finally, Eisenmann uses a Zeiss FaroArm to rescan the finished exhaust system, in order to verify that the production system is millimeter to millimeter the same size as the exhaust system originally designed by Eisenmann’s engineering team. This allows Eisenmann to verify their fabrication jigs and create an exhaust that is a perfect fit, every time.
Please follow the below links for tours of Eisenmann’s manufacturing facilities and more information on Eisenmann’s development process, and enjoy the photos!
The award winning N55 motor has spread across most of the BMW lineup. Eisenmann understands the demanding changes that auto manufactures have to go through to stay ahead of the market. With that Eisenmann has catered to this demand and have released the full downpipe back system for the BMW X6 with the now, N55 motor!
The system features a full downpipe back system with 4x90mm or 2x120mm round tips to finish the exhaust with the precise craftsmanship that we have come to expect.

BMW’s 1M is a car many people thought would never come. The 1M was a car meant to recapture a spirit lost in the glorious era of 1980’s homologation, and although it is not a true race-bred homologation special it is by 21st century standards a no-nonsense driver’s car. BMW enthusiasts have been asking for a simpler and most importantly slimmer sports car throughout the 2000s as the M3 and M5 have gained weight and sophistication and BMW has finally answered their call with the amazing 1M.
The car is interactive, simple, relatively low in weight, and incredibly fun to drive so it should come as no surprise that BMW chose to couple the 1M with the forever iconic E30 M3 in their marketing campaign for their new sports coupe.
Eisenmann GmbH answers the call of BMW enthusiasts by adding their one of a kind roar to the 1M’s already engaging personality. Eisenmann’s engineers are currently in the process of developing a complete downpipe-back exhaust system for the 1M in both a Race and Sport variation that will give the 1M the sound it deserves. Each Eisenmann system will feature four aggressive 90mm tips, a choice of a silenced or straight through intermediate pipes, and Eisenmann’s unique hand built construction.

News of Japan’s disaster reached nearly every human in a first world country within a day. The footage was horrifying to watch and the toll on human life and property was terrible, but even as Japan went through it’s dark moments that week there was positive mixed with the negative, hope mixed with the despair of a country living through a disaster of epic proportions. Days and weeks after the Tsunami, two facts became very clear about the people of Japan- they would not give up easily, and they would do anything possible to restore the country as quickly as possible and return to normal life.
Speaking to my friends in Japan about those events, I heard one common theme: “let’s not dwell on the bad, but plan for the good. Let’s move forward, rebuild, and enjoy life”. The tuning companies of Japan seemed to express the same feelings and continue to push forward every day. 3D Deisgn’s newest E89 Z4 is a reflection of this positive philosophy. Plans to create the car were made shortly after the Japanese Tsunami with the intention of making a statement. That statement is simply scribed over the car’s driver’s side window: “Don’t give up, Tohoku”.
3D Design partnered with key players in the US and Germany to create their new car, with each company contributing to the car’s unique style. WSTO and IND worked together to design the car’s overall theme and carefully measure the car’s aggressive wheel fitment. BBS brought their amazing Motorsport wheels to the table directly from BMW’s M3 GT4 program in an 18×9.5 +25 size in the front and 18×10 +30 size in the rear. Yokohama supplied the 235/40/18 front and 255/35/18 rear S Drive tires. KW helped with their Variant 3 suspension for a comfortable ride on the street and great handling when the roads begin to wind, while Dinan helped provide a camber plate that gave us that extra secret ingredient to make the BBS wheels fit perfectly. Eisenmann’s technicians hand-built the car’s exhaust system for a sound that matches it’s aggressive exterior, and of course 3D Design’s own aerodynamics package in full carbon fiber works perfectly with the car’s already perfect lines. The car will soon receive a brake upgrade from Brembo, a gauge package from Stack, and an upgraded turbo kit from ESS Tuning.

Working with Eisenmann GmbH is in many ways a double edged sword. As a factory supplier to Mercedes AMG, Eisenmann has access to technologies and testing equipment that is completely unavailable to most exhaust system manufacturers. Eisenmann’s engineers are scrutinized by AMG’s staff to the strictest standards making Eisenmann staff true masters of their craft.
These gifts also come with a measure of responsibility that most exhaust manufacturers are never forced to contend with. Eisenmann is contractually forbidden from manufacturing performance exhaust systems for cars that are already equipped with an Eisenmann exhaust system from the factory. Each contract is different, but these contracts with AMG prevent Eisenmann from servicing the AMG enthusiasts they know and love.
Occasionally, an exception can be made, and IND is proud to introduce one of the most exciting exceptions to date! Eisenmann has just announced their completed prototype C63 AMG exhaust system.
Like all Eisenmann exhaust systems, each C63 system will be assigned to a single individual for fabrication. One technician will build his assigned exhaust from beginning to end, and stamp their initials on the name plate after inspection of the exhaust has been completed. Each system will be available in a Sport sound level for a subtle and discreet driving experience, and a Race sound level for a true AMG roar! Eisenmann has equipped the C63 exhaust system with their traditional 120x77mm quad tips for a classic look.
Please contact Eisenmann North America for additional information.
Rolf Eisenmann has been a motorsport enthusiast long before he established Eisenmann GmbH, but his company’s 20 year success as one of the leading exhaust system suppliers in Germany to people like Porsche AG and Mercedes AMG GmbH has allowed him some unique privileges, and one of those privileges has been to be involved with professional racing.
Eisenmann GmbH has been involved in extensive development of the exhaust system for Team SportAuto’s Audi R8. A collaborative effort between Bilstein, BBS, Dunlop Tire, and Eisenmann GmbH, this car has been competing in 24 endurance races on the Nurburgring in the SP7 class since 2008.

Tradition with a future: Eisenmann launches a retrofit range of classic sports exhaust systems for the Porsche 911 G and F models, the Porsche 356 and the Mercedes Benz SL (W231-Pagode).
Eisenmann Exhaust systems, GmbH has been a trend setter in the performance BMW exhaust business since the company’s founding in 1988.
It is no surprise, then, that their interpretation of the perfect exhaust for the classic E60 M5 was an instant classic itself. Hundreds of E60 M5 enthusiasts equipped their incredible super sedans with Eisenmann’s exhaust.
The S85 powerplant of the E60 M5 was a true homage to motorsports, receiving an infusion of BMW’s current Formula 1 technology. The engine soared to it’s 8,300 RPM redline with an urgency rarely seen in road going autos, and it’s 12.0:1 compression ratio should have resulted in a sound usually reserved for supercars. Unfortunately, the standard BMW equipped exhaust system was found to be incredibly lackluster and failed to excite BMW fans.
Eisenmann tapped their years of experience as a supplier to Porsche and Mercedes AMG and worked for months to create an exhaust system that would give the E60 M5 the tone it deserved. Eisenmann’s fabricators sculpt each E60 M5 exhaust system by hand from 304 stainless steel and stamp their name on the exhaust’s plaque as a point of pride.
Eisenmann’s R8 exhaust system has so far been largely inaccessible to the US market- the well connected few have pre-ordered the exhaust and are eagerly waiting for the moment when they’ll be able to give their Audi supercar the sound it deserves, but most R8 owners hardly know Eisenmann’s exhaust system exists! Eisenmann is a manufacturer that has no shortage of experience with high end cars, being responsible for the sound of AMG cars, as well as the muscular tone that is the Mercedes McLaren supercar.
Please keep in mind that the center exit exhaust tip is a one-off tip design made exclusively for the owner of Eisenmann, and that the production model will come with the option to use either the R8′s factory tips, or 2x135x75mm oval tips.
Every once in a while, Eisenmann will suprise us on our annual visits with something truly out of the ordinary. Eisenmann’s inconel system was just that kind of shock! By conquering the challenges of fabricating and welding this Inconel exhaust system for the E9x M3, Eisenmann has once again proved to me that they are among the top tier engineering and manufacturing firms in the exhaust business today. Of course, the weight of the system is pretty impressive.
-Made out of Inconel (625)
-4x76mm Inconel tips
-Comes with connecting pipes
-40% lighter than the production stainless system
A couple of us from IND had a chance to go to Fall Line Motorsports to dyno our Eisenmann Race exhaust system, and I was so excited about the results, I wanted to share them with the BMWBLOG readers as soon as possible! With Fall Line’s busy schedule, and our constant Eisenmann shipments arriving and leaving, it’s quite difficult to make time to dyno a system, but the sound of the Eisenmann revving all the way to 8,000rpm was well worth it!
